Exhibition Ioana Gheorghiu - in use mooring, on the water witty eloquence

Poetically and conceptually, the project aims to compose a border space near the water, through a series of objects and installations generated from road texts and visual and sound material collected during annual trips to the delta. In the configuration of the space, various hypotheses of constitutive notions are considered: the particularities of the aggregates "on shore" or the roles of the guide in a broader historical and mythological sense - tour guide, initiate, spiritual figure, serpent responsible for orientation and survival, anthropomorphic creature or entity accompanying spirits in the passage to other worlds.

Ioana Gheorghiu: An initiate of the territory bordering the water, the guide is the host of the shore-water relationship, leads newcomers on the water, presents subjective maps to arbitrarily-intimate groups in small boats, guides through narrow channels, through history and fishing, preaches about love and technically expresses concerns about the unpredictable contours of the water.
