Exhibition Sânziana Gheorghe – Paths through the Forest

A fairy-tale land. A space where dimensions intertwine at the Water Museum, with the project developed by artist Sânziana Gheorghe, Paths through the Forest.

For nine days, Sânziana transformed the Group of Fountains in a Pine Forest. Physical and allegorical space, with fantastic semi-abstract characters – these are a few characteristics of the exhibition Paths through the Forest, an immersive installation with drawings and collages, open for visit at the Water Museum, from November 21st to November 29th 2023.

At the opening of the exhibition, visitors are invited to interact directly with the space and the characters, guided by the artist.

"Paths through the Forest is a journey of initiation, and here we deal with the descent in the depths of the fountain and the return to the surface, which is also a type of initiation. To me, the most challenging part was to transpose the concept I had in mind in this special space, to transform the Urseni UFO Building into my Pine Forest…”   says the artist, who confesses having been completely won over by the historical buildings of the Water Museum.
